BrightSource Energy Names SVP For Project Development Tom Doyle to Oversee Development of Solar Power Projects

OAKLAND, Calif. BrightSource Energy™, Inc., which develops and builds utility-scale solar power plants, announced today that Thomas P. Doyle has joined the company as Senior Vice President Project Development. BrightSource is currently focused on developing projects in the United States and EMEA, and recently submitted an Application for Construction (AFC) to the California Energy Commission (CEC) for a solar power plant to be built in the Mojave Desert of California. The AFC filed by BrightSource was the first to be filed in California in 17 years and is the first step of the required permitting process for the development of any new solar energy power plant in California.
